If you’ve been watching the market you probably wouldn’t expect alot from the under $300K price range in current market conditions, and mostly you’d be right, but this ‘project’ house has an undeniable charm.
The Property
At .41 acres it’s a small parcel for the Thrums area, and the actually usable land is much reduced by a creek that more or less bi-sects the property.
That said, it’s a pretty cool feature from an aesthetic standpoint and at first glance doesn’t look like a significant flood risk- and it’s continual white noise does a lot to moderate the (ample) road noise. On the upside, sitting above the highway as it does you have a great kitchen view of the Kootenay River.
