Paul is a licensed, second-generation REALTOR®, with an extensive background in technology and Internet marketing. He began using the Internet, and all its mysteries, to present and market real estate (among other things) in 1997 and has been at it ever since. He became licensed as a REALTOR® in BC in 2007 and has worked with clients in a wide variety of areas including Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Salmo, the Slocan Valley, Kaslo, and a number of other small (but awesome) communities in between. Paul began focusing on video services for sellers and buyers in 2010, and he was a founding partner (and the defacto marketing director) of the Property Lab Team, Nelson and Nelson Rural’s most successful real estate team for a number of years (KREB statistics, transaction sides 2013-14).
In January of 2015 Paul left the Property Lab Team to create a new business with an enhanced focus on the marketing tools that so contributed to his team’s success. Paul is excited about putting the power of real-estate video in more and more of his customers’ hands.
Local Industry Involvement
In addition to his real-estate practice, Paul also takes a very active hand in organized real estate, and community and home-owner advocacy. In 2012 he became one of the youngest-ever presidents of the Kootenay Real Estate Board (KREB), a role that allowed him to see a number of important changes in how Kootenay REALTORs serve their clients. He continues to work as co-chair of KREB’s Technology Committee and is committed to making property transactions as efficient, fair, and transparent as possible.
Provincial & National Profile
In January 2015, Paul was elected by the REALTORs of BC and the Yukon to be their regional director to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) for 2015-16. In March he will join a group of 15 other directors on CREA’s governing board, where he’s committed to continue his work on behalf of 100,000+ members of the industry in promoting REALTOR® professionalism, education, and accountability, and he pledges to act as a strong voice for BC and Yukon communities and property owners with the federal government and its various agencies on matters that affect us all.
