I’m excited to share some big news: I’ve been elected as the British Columbia/Yukon Regional Representative to the Canadian Real Estate Association’s (CREA) Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 term.
CREA is one of Canada’s largest trade and advocacy organizations, and represents communities and homeowners nationwide, as well as the 100,000+ professional REALTORs from coast to coast to coast. CREA does important work in advising, guiding, and where necessary, wrestling with the federal government on issues relating to home ownership and property rights.
I’ll begin my service following the 2015 CREA AGM in late March, and look forward to making the perspectives of my colleagues and our customers known to the Government on important matters like fair taxation around home-ownership, affordable housing, the environment, and other important local and national issues..
That said, I’m open to ideas. So please feel free to contact me if you have something to say about what we can do to build a better real estate industry or stronger communities for them to serve.
